Impact Tanzania

Christ the King has established a ministry that enables members and friends of our church, as well as others in the community and around the country, to support the work of the gospel through partnership with Reverend Peter Kitula, Bishop of the diocese of Mara-Ukerewe, Tanzania. One of the programs of Impact Tanzania is the "Supporting Tanzania Pastors" initiative. For $30 per month ($360 per year) you can provide financial assistance to a pastor laboring at great personal sacrifice.

The funds will be used for and distributed to the neediest pastors:

• to provide monthly stipends for pastors and their families.
• to fund the cost of travel, accommodations and meals for pastors and their families.

The average annual income of people living in the diocese is approximately $165 per year. A government employee (school teacher, policeman, etc.) will earn at least two to three times that amount. The local pastor in the diocese will receive $1.00-$5.00 per month, a fraction of what is needed to live. Our prayer is to be able to support these needy pastors.
